"Singing Man 7" (Koran: 싱깅맨 7 회, Namimorish: シングマン 7 挿話) is the seventh edition of the Namimorish music festival, Singing Man, to select Namimori's entry to the Fantasia Contest 25.
On 27 May 2021, the temporary withdrawal of the Qasentrian delegation was announced by the head of Qasentrian delegation Honma Miho as the broadcaster are planning to renew their previous national selection 1QS4. However, on 13 June 2021, the Namimorish ministers of Art and Culture, Tenma Sumeragi and Tsuzuru Minagi has confirmed that Singing Man would still be used as Namimori’s entry selection for the upcoming event. The winning artist will compete for Namimori at the Fantasia Contest 25 which will be expectedly held in Shkeera.
The format of the competition consisted of one final show consisting of 14 participants. Initial 14 entries were selected for the competition through one method : an open call for song submissions separately held by each broadcasting company.
Namimorish-Nineliese singer from Kaminari prefecture ReoNa won the selection with the percentage of 24.14 from all votes.
Format
Singing Man 7, organised by Namimorish Television (nmtv°) will be the seventh edition of the contest in which the competition will take place in Maehara city. The delegation team had received the amount of 562 submissions which 14 of them will compete in the grand final show.
Entry selection
Entries for the competition were selected through two methods:
- 10 entries by debutants were chosen by a selection panel from submissions received by nmtv° through an open call for songs.
- 4 entries by returning artists were chosen by special invitations from nmtv°
Namimorish Television opened the submission line that accepted entries between 1 and 25 July 2021 for interested artists and songwriters to submit their proposals for the competition. Entries submitted for the competition were required to be released after 2012 and with singer/band that holds Namimorish citizenship or permanent residency. The choice of language is free.
Following the conclusion of the submission periods, nmtv° received 562 entries. The delegation team created a shortlist of entries from the received submissions and formed a selection panel that will be tasked to select 14 entries for the competition.
Presenters
At a press conference held in Maehwa on XX January 2020, the producer team will introduce the host presenters who is announced to be the last edition’s runner up Hirate Yurina.
Final
Fourteen acts were competing in the final event held in Maehara.
Super Final
Five acts with highest percentages of votes will be competing in the final event held in Isogai.
Notes
- ABAO participated in Singing Man Namisentria solely before with the song "Kinakaian".
- Jessi participated in Singing Man 4 and won with the song "Gucci" leading to her representing Namimori once in Fantasia Contest 22.
- LiSA participated in Singing Man 3 once with the song "Unlasting".
- Sunmi represented Namimori before in Fantasia Contest 20 with the song "Gotta Go" and was a co-host of Singing Man Namisentria together with Qasentrian singer Otsuka Ai.
- The host presenter Hirate Yurina was the runner-up of Singing Man Namisentria Act 2 with the song "Dance no Riyuu".
