The current Head of Government of Lanovina (the Chancellor) is Helga Stoll-Escherpes (Green Party), first elected in 2017 and currently leading a minority government of the Green Party and the social-democratic Progressive Alliance, receiving confidence and supply from the left-wing TSL and the Choli minority party CMM. The opposition currently consists of the conservative CCU, the agrarian-centrist ACP and the liberal LP. The Lanovian legislature is known as the Parlament and is divided into two chambers: Bundesrat and Bundestag. Prior to 2021, the ~~president~~President of Lanovina was the ~~president~~President of the Bundesrat (the upper legislative body that represents the 13 states) and therefore one of the ~~state~~State ~~presidents~~Presidents. As the ~~president~~President of the Bundesrat changed every year, the ~~president~~President of Lanovina did too.
