The '''2022 Dýrian parliamentary election''' will take place on Saturday, 30 July, to elect the next Alþingi, the Dýrian parliament. The election was called following the dissolution of the Alþingi by president Ingibjörg Egilsdóttir, at the request of the Taoiseach, Sinéad Kýosdóttir on 8 July 2022. All but one of the 106 seats will be contested, with the Ceann Comhairle (Speaker) being returned automatically. It will be the first election in 20 years to be held on a weekend.

Polls opened at 07:00 DST and closed at 21:00 DST on 30 July 2022. The total poll was up from 79.8% compared to the previous election, possibly due to the election being held on a Saturday. This was the first election since the voting age was lowered in 2020 that those aged 16 were allowed to cast their ballot. Voting on the outer islands of Dýria opened on Friday at 07:00 DST to allow for delays. To be put on the register of electors, one must be aged 16 and above, be a citizen of Dýria and must have a permanent residency within the country on election day. Those living in Dýria for more than 5 years who have not acquired citizenship are also permitted to vote on the supplementary register. Dýrians living abroad were not permitted to vote at Dýrian embassies, however this may change in time for the next election.
Counting of the votes commenced at 08:00 DST on 31 July. The first constituency to report their results was Eyja-Norður, and the last to report their results was Tráway City due to slight delays in receiving ballot boxes from around the city.
The result showed a close race between the current coalition. Dýrian Democratic Party won 28 seats (including Piarás Ó Murchú, who was returned automatically as outgoing Ceann Comhairle), one fewer than they had before. An Comhaontas Glas won 23 seats, gaining one seat from 2019. The People's Party of Dýria, a left-wing party, won 12 seats, three more than their 2019 result.
The Brittonic party, Diria d'Ar Vretoned, lead by their leader Aziliz Le Peuc'h, gained the most seats from a previous election, with the party winning 11 seats, up 8 from 2019.
The Sjólandic party, Sjølandiskt Framtíð, won 10 seats, down from 12 in 2019, however the party did end above their sister party, Diria d'Ar Vretoned, in vote share.
The far-left Dlúthphártíocht-Solidarity, won 6 seats, the largest amount for a new party.
Being a prominent party in Dýria before, the Independence Party, the main right-wing party in the country, suffered a loss of 7 seats from their 2019 result, with the popularity of the party dwindling in the country. The Progressive Party, a new right-wing party, however, won 3 seats as they portrayed themselves as a more "lenient" and "liberal" right-wing option.
The far-right party, the Dýrian National Front (formerly United Dýria) won just 1 seat, and less than 10,000 votes.
Due to the boundary changes and a new law, 1 seat in the Firðir-South Dyflinn constituency was reserved for the Karenoise people, who are a protected minority in Dýria, living in the Inizi Kerneveuriadezed. They elected their first ever Teachta Dála (TD), Lorryn Le Meur, a member of the Karenoise Voice party. Independent candidates won 8 seats.
